WHAT IS COSMETIC EYEBROW TATTOOING?
Cosmetic eyebrow embroidery is a semi-permanent technique using colour pigment drawn onto the skin, giving you natural looking eyebrows. The technique used is natural feathering of hair-like strokes, creating a beautifully designed brow.
IS THIS THE SAME AS AN EYEBROW TATTOO?
Yes and no. Yes it can be considered as a form of tattoo, however, the pigments are distilled water based (as opposed to the common oil carrier based pigments used in conventional tattoos), thus resulting to a semi-permanent lasting result.
The work involved with eyebrow embroidery is only performed on the skin surface, thus making eyebrow embroidery a much safer treatment than traditional eyebrow tattoos. The colour can also be adjusted in alignment with the original eyebrow hair colour and your skin tone, which results in a realistic look and feel. Eyebrow embroidery creates the background and fills in the parts of the eyebrows that look empty or sparse so that a full and complete look is accomplished. The 3D effect gives realism to the end result.
Unlike an eyebrow tattoo, eyebrow embroidery does not leave a flat, dull and fake look that tattoos leave, nor is it totally permanent, so you are free to modify the shape of your brows, according to the latest trends.
WHY SEMI-PERMANENT, WHY NOT PERMANENT?
Giving you the semi-permanent option allows you the flexibility to change later on. Permanent tattoos don't. In fact, permanent tattoos tend to fade to a dull blue shade that leaves an unattractive result over time. By going semi-permanent, you have the option of continuing with your current shape (by simply doing a "top-up" treatment), or completely reshaping your brows.

THE featheR touch eyebrow PROCESS
The first step involves sterilising and disinfecting the eyebrow area. Our practitioner wears sterile gloves and face mask always during the procedure and all equipment is 100% sterile. She then applies topical anaesthetic to numb the brow area.
Next, we shape and prepare the eyebrows by trimming stray hairs around the brow.
Then we design the desired shape of the eyebrows carefully measuring your eye area, and by drawing and filling in the brows with a makeup pencil.
Then we apply topical anaesthetic gel to both eyebrows and let the numbing effect take place for a few minutes.
NOTE: You will feel very little of the tattooing process because unlike with traditional tattoos, this technique only penetrates the very top surface of the skin and doesn’t go deep. We like to apply topical anaesthetic to be sure.
The eyebrow tattooing/micro-blading begins.
Once the area has completely healed, you may need a follow-up Perfecting appointment to finalise. Depending on how well you look after your eyebrows, the effect can last 2 to 5 years.
